"Somehow, not only at Christmas
But all the long year through
The joy that you give to others
Is the joy that comes back to you" |

Since it’s inception in 2004, the Community Foundation’s Annual Festival of Trees Charity Fundraiser has grown steadily in popularity to become Kenora's premiere Christmas event.
Held at the Lake of the Woods Museum over a three-day period, at the end of November, the Festival touches the entire community. Local groups, organizations, businesses and individuals come together and provide the imagination and decorations to turn trees, wreaths and gingerbreads houses into a Christmas showcase. Twenty-five live trees are graciously donated each year by Kenora Forest Products and provide an exciting visual and fragrant backdrop, immediately noticeable as guests enter the museum. The creations are viewed by the Community and then auctioned as a charity fundraiser for the Community Foundation. The entire event is planned and hosted by volunteers and the Community Foundation extends sincere thanks to them for all their wonderful efforts.
"It's Magical!"
The 2007 Festival of Trees lead sponsor is the Kenora District Credit Union. |
